Art City Students learn about the Constitution
September 17th is designated as Constitution Day to commemorate the signing of the United States Constitution. On Friday, September 15th, in the library Mrs. Christensen talked about the United States, in its infancy and the need for the Constitution to be adopted.

Fifth Grade Science Experiments
Miss Wood taught a science lesson on different powder substances around the kitchen. Students had to figure out what type of powder it was by adding other ingredients to the powder. Just to name a few, was it flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt or sugar?
Mrs. Voorhees' Class Earns a Dance Party!

September Stand Strong Students
Each month Art City teachers select two students from their class who have demonstrated Stand Strong behaviors. Stand Strong Students of the Month are outstanding examples of positive character traits and have shown that they are safe, respectful, and responsible. Way to go to our September Stand Strong Students!!
Kindergarten Enjoy The Last Day of Summer
On Friday, September 22nd, the kindergarten classes celebrated the end of summer by making watermelon shakers to shake while singing "Down by the Bay," eating watermelon and drawing with sidewalk chalk. They are now looking forward to the season of fall and all that it brings.

Stand Strong Students
Students at Art City Elementary earn Eagle Bucks for doing well in class, specialties and during recess times. These students chose to use their Eagle Bucks to be on the web page. Great job!
