6th-Grade Hershey Track Meet

Thursday April 19th at the Springville High School, elementary schools gathered for the Hershey Track meet and wether rain or shine the Hershey Track Meet goes on, the day started a little sunny, but then the clouds moved in and all but the final 100 meter dash had to be finished, and the good sports they were the Sixth-grade students finished in the pouring rain.  Everyone had their lunches under trees and bleachers, as soon as they were done the sun came out and ended up being a gorgeous day.  This group of Sixth-grade, when they were in Third-grade had hail and as Sixth-graders finished

Scales and Tails visit Art City Elementary

Art City Elementary School had the opportunity to have Scales and Tails Utah come and share several of their “creatures”.  Caleb showed an alligator, tortoise, python, lizard and a scorpion, some students as well as teachers did not care for all of these creatures and would have to go out in the hall or to the library.  When Caleb put the scorpion in his mouth a few teachers and students were gagging.  Caleb emphasized many times that the way he became interested in reptiles and these other creatures is by reading books, when he wanted to know the different types of lizards he would read a

Art City Fifth-grade Reviews the Year through Music and Dance.

 Art City's Elementary School Fifth-grade, shared "The Things we like" in an assembly on Thursday, April 5, 2012.  The things the fifth-grade like include, pizza, video games, music, and playing.  They portrayed these things by singing and dancing to songs that included:  "Things that I Like", "We Like Pizza", "All I Want To Do is Play", "Friend Like Me," "Video Games," "If I had a Million Dollars," "You Can't Stop the Beat".  The fifth-grade ended their program by  expressing "Remember to like whatever it is you're doing!  and sang "My Wish".  Thank you Ms. Fisher, Miss Haslam, and Mrs.
