A Touch of Class

Art City Elementary students, on Tuesday, February 5, 2013, had the opportunity of watching the talented group “A Touch of Class” perform "A Taste of Bach, Mozart, and Beethoven" which is a unique presentation that introduces children to three of the world’s greatest classical composers.

Nebo School District Chess Tournament

The Nebo School district Chess tournament was held on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at Cherry Creek Elementary School in Springville, Utah.  One hundred eighty-nine students represented twenty-two elementary schools and five Jr. High schools around the district.

Art City Elementary radKIDs Simulation--5th and 2nd- Grade radKIDS Simulation

Fifth and second-grade students from Art City Elementary school, Springville, on Friday February 1 and 8, 2013, are confronted with a ‘Bad Person’ “Stay Back you’re not my dad” students  said, just as Lietenant Omar Wright, of the Nephi police, wrapped them up to see if they could get away. Using the techniques and the knowledge they have learned from their radKIDS class each student was able to get away. Thank you Mr. Wright of Nephi; and the Utah County Sherriff’s Department for your help and support with simulation; thank you PTA and Mrs.

Art City Elementary Presents the Second-grade Celebrating Civil Rights

Art City Elementary School, on Wednesday January 30, 2013, celebrated Martin Luther King and Civil Rights with a Second-grade program. Emma Busath, third-grade ACE reporter said, "It was a spectacular performance!" The songs that were sung included: "Ain't no Mountain High Enough," "Make them Hear You," Lean on Me," "We Got the power," "There can be Miracles." "This Little Light of mine" and "True Colors." Students who performed solos included Ashlyn, Gracee, and Katie.  The program focuses on those people who have made a difference in our world.
