January Chess Tournament for Nebo School District Saturday

January 12 at Art City Elementary Grades K-6 5 Round Swiss Tournament

When: Saturday January 12, 2019 Check in 8:00-8:30 am, instructions at 8:45 am, round 1 begins at 9:00 am, rounds 2-5 follow as each grade finishes. Rounds are up to 50 minutes each (i.e. approximately 25 minutes per player). All students play all five rounds. Trophies will be awarded as each grade finishes, usually between 12:30 and 1:30 pm. Tie breaks will be decided by the computer.

EAGLE BUCKS REDEEMED!

Attributions: 

Art City Students in Mrs. Thomas' class show they are Safe, Respectful and Responsible by the choices they make every day while in school.  They earned ten Eagle Bucks and redeemed them for their picture with friends on the school website!

Penny Wars Was a Success at Art City

Art City successfully had a Penny War to help a fellow student, Wade Farr.  On Friday the school was able to present the Farr family with a check for just under $8,500.  Thank you Art City students and families for your love and support.  #artcityeagles #artcityelementary #awesomeeagles

Reflections Fall of 2018

Art City Elementary had approximately 25 students participate in the Reflections contest this year.  The Reflections 2018-2019 theme Heroes Around Me sparked imagination and creativity evident in the students' entries.  Categories included:  Dance Choreography, Film, Literature, Music, Photography, Visual, and Arts.  Five of Art City's entries made it to the District level.  For 50 years, National PTA’s Reflections program has helped students explore their own thoughts, feelings and ideas.  It has also encouraged artistic literacy, increase confidence and find a lo
