“Beauty is . . .” 89 Students from Art City Elementary submitting 102 entries for Reflections 2009. The School celebrated these students by watching a power point of the participants and their entries at an assembly, Friday, October 6th, 2009.
Stacey Hatch, the PTA committee chair person who collected and took pictures of all the entries, was really impressed with the time the students put into their entries, to notice and ponder “what beauty meant to them”.
Stacey invited local artisans (which remain confidential) to judge the various categories including the following: Photography, Visual Arts, Literacy, 3-D (sculpture), Music composition, and Dance.
Art City Elementary will have 22 entries go on to the Council level. After competing on the council level they may go onto Region, State, then National levels. Good luck students!
