First Grade class Donates Blankets to children in need

On Dec. 17th Mrs. Robin Wheatley’s first grade class, at Art City Elementary School, tied 9 fleece blankets that were donated to the Juvenile Justice Center. They are given to kids in Slate Canyon, my students were just told they were given to kids who couldn't be with their parents during Christmas. All the fabric was donated and cut by parents. The kids had to learn a different way to tie the fleece but all were successful. They kept trying even if it was difficult because 'winners never quit and quitters never win'.
