AWARDS EARNED!
Students at Art City Elementary were recognized today for excellence in Stand Strong Behaviors, Peer Elected Kindness and Perfect Attendance. Way to go students!
Art City Elementary Lasts
The end of year signifies many lasts. Transitional Kindergarten had their last program showing off their many talents. The Kindergarten classes had walking report cards showing off their reading and math skills and singing skills. One family also shared some of their heritage with a Native American Hoop dancer.
EAGLE BUCKS REDEEMED!
Art City Students in Mrs. Christian's class show they are Safe, Respectful and Responsible by the choices they make every day while in school. They earned ten Eagle Bucks and redeemed them for their picture with friends on the school website!
Spring Orchestra Performance
The sixth grade orchestra students had two great performances last week: an assembly for the school, and a concert for the students’ families and friends. As part of the assembly, they enjoyed performing a song with the students who have earned a black belt in recorder Karate. The orchestra students have done a wonderful job learning the violin, viola, and cello this year!

Art City Fifth Grade State Float Parade
It is a tradition at Art City Elementary for the 5th grade to have a "State float parade" at the end of the year to culminate their knowledge of all the states and the capitals. One student is assigned a state and they create a float that depicts characteristics from that state it is then carried and pulled through the halls for the students of all grades to see. Thank you 5th grade for sharing with everyone.

Interesting Facts About Owl Pellets
The students in Mrs. Makin's class really tore things apart! They dissected owl pellets and discovered the not so happy endings to some birds and rodents. They had gross fun picking through the pellets to find bones, teeth and other things.
Art City Fourth Grade Utah Program
Art City fourth grade presented some things they learned about Utah this year to parents and students during their end of year program. The students also learned how to square dance and did a great job.
