Mrs. Droubay Art City Secretary Receives Excellence in Service Award

The Art City PTA recognized Mrs. Droubay for the "Excellence in Service Award". Mrs. Deanna Lindsey gave a wonderful tribute to her recognizing a few of the things she has meant to Art City Elementary School.

Art City School Play, Aladdin Jr. Another Success

Art City Elementary School had another successful play this year.  Aladdin Jr. was presented on March 7, 8, and 9.  The students, teachers and parents were very happy with the play this year.  Thank you to all who helped in any and all ways.

Art City Elementary Fifth-Grade Wax Museum

Art City Elementary fifth grade students held their annual wax museum on Wednesday March 6, 2019.  Fifth grade students dressed up as famous and important people or characters in America’s history.  Some of the characters from history included; George Lucas, Betsy Ross, Albert Einstein, Micheal Jordan, Elvis Presley, Jackie Robinson and Walt Disney, just to name a few.  The rest of the students in the school, as well as family, walked through the museum.  The students would press a button, listen to the famous person tell a little about themselves and help students

February Student of the Month

February Students of the Month have been recognized for going above and beyond school expectations.  These students have also demonstrated "Stand Strong" behaviors which are: Safe, Respectful, Responsible.

Art City Celebrates Civil Rights

Art City Elementary School celebrated Martin Luther King and Civil Rights Day with a second grade program. The songs that were sung included: "Ain't no Mountain High Enough", "Make Them Hear You", Lean on Me," "We Got the Power", "There can be Miracles", "This Little Light of Mine" and "True Colors".  The program focuses on those people who have made a difference in our world.
