Blowing Things Out of Proportion

Mrs. Makin's 6th grade had a fun time blowing things up! After learning about ratios and proportions, they used their knowledge to expand small items into extra, extra large.  Candy bars never looked so delicious!

Submitted by julia.murray on

Hi my name is Kim Droubay.

This is my 10th year working at Art City.  I am excited to be working in the front office as the secretary this year.  I love helping the children every day.

I was born in Logan, UT and I grew up in Brigham City, 20 minutes South of Logan.  I am the oldest of five children.

I now live in Springville and I'm married to Greg Droubay.  I have three kids; Dallin who is married to Maren, Zachary, and Maddy. Our favorite thing to do as a family is spend time together; especially playing games and talking.

Green Ribbon week is designed to promote health and safety.

Monday: Parents and students signed pledges to stay safe while walking to and from school each day.  That means that they will walk on sidewalks, only cross streets at intersections and cross walks, look both ways before crossing the street, wear a helmet when riding a bike or a scooter, and wear a seat belt when in a car; parents pledged to be aware of pedestrians and drive the speed limit or even under the speed limit.

"Pirates Don't Change Diapers" Kindergarden Students Don't . . .

Submitted by julia.murray on

Mrs. Morgan's afternoon Kindergarten class read the Book "Pirates Don't Change Diapers" by Melinda Long and David Shannon; then talk about what Kindergarten students don't do as part of their first week of school and learning what procedures they can do.  They also create a "pirate" image of themselves.
