A Penny War Has Been Declared

Submitted by julia.murray on

Wade Farr is a 6th grade student at Art City. His mom, Sheriece is our computer teacher. Wade is fighting lymphoma, and we want to show him our love and support by helping them out at this time of year. We had a kick off assembly on Nov. 26th to introduce the Penny War to the students and to get them excited to help Wade. Let the battles begin! 100% of the money collected in the Penny War will be given to the Farr family. A flyer with all the details went home Monday with your child. Pennies and bills count as positive points for the class.

Happy Veterans Day!  Sebastian West, a third grade student, earned Eagle Bucks for the opportunity to help the fifth grade students raise the flag today during our flag ceremony in honor of our country's veterans.  Sebastian also helped lead the school in the Pledge of Allegiance.  Thank you to all who have served our community and our country.
