PBS KIDS Reading Marathon

The PBS KIDS Reading Marathon is taking place during the month of November. Children (ages preschool - 6th grade) are encouraged to read 20 minutes per day or 600 minutes total throughout the month. From December 1-15 parents will then go on to our PBS website and log their minutes for AMAZING prizes around town during 2022!  

Each Reading Marathon participant will receive a personalized Adventure Pass which will give them the following:

Frozen Audition Information:

November 15th, 16th and 17th in the music room.

Auditions for Frozen will be for all 3rd-5th graders.  Students must be prepared to sing one of the songs we provide from Frozen.

 

Auditions for 5th graders: Monday, November 15th, at 2:30pm

Auditions for 4th graders: Tuesday, November 16th, at 3:15pm

Register Now for the New Mental Wellness Resource for Parents

As the pandemic’s unseen costs begin to unfold on the mental health front, some wonder how school children will be impacted. Despite the massive challenge we face, there are growing resources to help families who are struggling.

Virtual Family Mental Health Night–Talk to a Therapist Nebo School District is partnering with The Cook Center for Human Connection to host a free virtual Family Mental Health night on November3, 2021 at 6:00 PM. Participants will hear from a leading clinical psychologist, be able to ask questions, and learn about free resources available.

Art City—Night at the Museum

THIS WEDNESDAY!  November 3, 2021 from 5-8 pm!  ART CITY ELEMENTARY NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM!   There will be a scavenger hunt, children's area and beautiful exhibits.  We are so lucky to have an art museum right here in our city!  Make sure you take this opportunity to go and explore our community's beautiful museum!

October Blast into Reading

“Blast  into Reading” is this year's library theme.  Each month a few Faculty and staff members will be highlighted as they looked back in elementary school with their favorite book. October has been the second grade team, Mrs Roylance, Mrs. Thompson and Mrs. Behling.  The second grade also voted on which book is their favorite. 

Art City Fourth Grade This is the Place Experience

Art City Elementary 4th Grade students enjoyed a day  at This Is the Place State Park. They tried panning for gold, pushing and pulling handcarts, riding a train, learning about blacksmithing, visiting Native American homes and going to school in the 1800s.  Everyone had a great time!
