The Clark Planetarium at Art City Elementary School

Submitted by julia.murray on

On October 9, 2018 the Clark Planetarium visited Art City Elementary School. They showed students how electricity will react by making a plastic wig stand on end.  Students saw chemical reactions and learned a little about how space is a vacuum when there is no air pressure pushing back.

"The Clark Planetarium’s mission is to create and present enlightening experiences that inspire wonder in learning about space and science. We accomplish this by presenting programs about science and astronomy in an exciting and engaging way. Each year more than 100,000 Utah school children receive high quality astronomy and space science education services through Clark Planetarium’s 'AstroVan' outreach program and in-house field trips. We invite you to take advantage of the educational resources available through the Clark Planetarium to make your visit or classroom experience more meaningful."
