“As a fellow employee and as a mother, I find Kim Larsen exceptional. She worked tirelessly with my son. Kim made efforts to contact and work with me as a parent. She has gone above and beyond to use different learning styles and make sure all kids feel welcome. My son has always struggled in school and still struggles this year. But, he knows that his teacher cares about him.    

These awesome kids in Mrs. Huston's class redeemed 10 Eagle Bucks to get a picture on the school website!  Good work!

In observance of Constitution Day, Tuesday, September 17th, the entire student body at Art City started school with the raising of the flag, the Pledge of Allegiance and singing the National Anthem.  It was a great way to celebrate our country.  

Second grade students enjoyed a surprise visit from Springville’s finest today!  Police and Fire/Rescue Officers brought donuts and Junior Officer stickers for all 2nd grade students. The boys and girls wrote letters on 9/11 thanking our first responders for their service and sacrifice. We sure love our police and fire department!  Thank you for spending time with our students!

The second grade students at Art City Elementary have been reading the book Freckle Juice by Judy Blume.  In Freckle Juice, Judy Blume explores what happens when you don't appreciate who you are and how you look. The main character, Andrew Marcus, wishes he had freckles like Nicky.

Mrs. Jensen grew up and attended school in Logan, Utah.  She went to University of Southern Utah and Brigham Young University.  She now lives in Lakeshore, Utah with her husband and three sons. Mrs. Jensen loves to play her guitar and sing and she loves getting to know people. Mrs. Jensen likes butterfingers, cookies and Barry's grilled chicken sandwiches.  As a counselor she enjoys going into each class to teach life skills.  She's excited to get to know our Art City family and loves helping kids one on one with life's challenges. We're so happy to have Mrs.

The Art City PTA is doing an Emergency Preparedness Donation drive during the month of September.  We are needing boxes of granola bars and cases of bottled water.  Thank you for supporting our PTA and students.
