Art City Elementary students, on Tuesday, February 5, 2013, had the opportunity of watching the talented group “A Touch of Class” perform "A Taste of Bach, Mozart, and Beethoven" which is a unique presentation that introduces children to three of the world’s greatest classical composers. The students are exposed to the distinctive musical styles and personalities of Johann Sebastian Bach (1685 – 1750), who is now regarded as the greatest composer of the Baroque era, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756 – 1791), who composed more than six hundred works and is still among the most popular of classical composers, and Ludwig Van Beethoven (1712-1773), one of the most acclaimed and influential composers of all time. At the end of the performance students with birthdays in February were asked to come up and the group sang "Happy Birthday" in each of the three composers' style. The students really enjoyed the performance and teachers were impressed at how well the students paid attention!
