Art City Elementary school, Springville, Utah, had the privilege of having “The Prevailing Winds” Woodwind quintet share their talents and the purpose of wind instruments.   The following were the artists and their instruments of choice that came to the school:  Flutist - Jeannine Goeckeritz, Oboist - Bonnie Schroeder, Hornist - Anita Miller, Bassoonist - Luke Pfeil, And Clarinetist - Scott Harris.  It was quite entertaining and the students really enjoyed it. “The Prevailing Winds have traveled throughout Utah performing for schools as part of ARTS Inc. During a typical month the group will play for over 1,500 students. We educate as well as entertain as we give many students their first real opportunity to enjoy live music performed for them by professionals.  The Prevailing Winds have also participated in the Utah Performing Arts Tour. The "Arts In The Parks" Series, The Utah Arts Festival, and been featured on ABC and FOX Television, as well as live on-air performances for KUER Radio.  Members of The Prevailing Winds have performed with The Utah Symphony, Ballet West, The Orchestra at Temple Square, Twentieth Century Fox Studios, National tour of "Cats", Orchestras for "Wicked", "Les Miserables", "West Side Story", and many others. We've played with artists such as Ray Charles, Tony Bennett, Johnny Mathis, and The Moody Blues.”
