Wade Farr is a 6th grade student at Art City. His mom, Sheriece is our computer teacher. Wade is fighting lymphoma, and we want to show him our love and support by helping them out at this time of year. We had a kick off assembly on Nov. 26th to introduce the Penny War to the students and to get them excited to help Wade. Let the battles begin! 100% of the money collected in the Penny War will be given to the Farr family. A flyer with all the details went home Monday with your child. Pennies and bills count as positive points for the class. Gold dollars and silver coins count as negative points so as Wade fights this battle, we will battle other classes by putting silver coins in their jars. A board in the lobby will keep track daily of the points for each class. We want our students to have a good time, while knowing their efforts will help a fellow student.
