On December 13, 2013 Art City Elementary had a NED show assembly.  "This school-wide performance tells the story of NED, a lovable cartoon character whose name is an acronym for Never give up, Encourage others, and Do your best. It’s a simple, memorable message designed to teach valuable lessons that help kids become champions at school and in life".

The NED show had a young woman who she portrayed spider man with a yo-yo as she threw it around the microphone pole; she pretended to be in a car and went to get Ned. She then did the following tricks with the Yo-Yo: walk the dog, she made a Ferris wheel, a trapeze man, she did around the world, made a roller coaster, the Eiffel Tower, spaghetti, a star, etc.  Kelsey Sumsion, a fifth-grade student received a free yo-yo and a balloon hat.

"The NED Show® produced by All for KIDZ®, Inc., is an innovative, character education assembly. Using humor, storytelling, audience participation and amazing object lessons including yo-yo and magic ricks students learn through the adventures of NED, a character kids (and adults) can relate to."
