The second grade students at Art City Elementary have been reading the book Freckle Juice by Judy Blume.  In Freckle Juice, Judy Blume explores what happens when you don't appreciate who you are and how you look. The main character, Andrew Marcus, wishes he had freckles like Nicky. He wants freckles so badly that he is willing to pay Sharon five weeks of allowance for a "freckle juice" recipe that is supposed to give him freckles but it only makes him sick.  Our second grade teachers drank some "freckle juice" to bring the book alive.   Students also had the opportunity to drink some yummy "freckle juice."
